Dining Out

Aaron's squadron had a "Dining Out" in Tokyo in February. A dining out is another tradition in the Navy. We drove to downtown Tokyo prior to the dinner. We checked into our hotel and let B crawl all over. That night we had a babysitter who stayed at the hotel to watch B for the night. The evening started out with a cocktail hour while everyone arrived.

We found our name place cards and sat down for dinner. There were five courses. The first was spanakopita. This was followed by a cup of one of the best french onion soups I've had in a long time. There was a raspberry vinaigrette salad before our main course of prime rib. Dessert was a tasty cheesecake with fresh berries. Overall it was a good dinner.

Our Commanding Officer taking the first bite of our dinner. He approved of the meal.

All of the wives that were in attendance.

As the evening progressed through dinner there were more festivities. We all had a good time. There was a lot of silliness and laughter.

Clapping out the syllables for a haiku.

Dancing like jellyfish.

Posing for pictures.

Aaron's call sign is "Bat Kid." Later in the evening a batman costume was given to Aaron to wear. He had fun in the costume and created good memories.
